stage 1) checking to make sure i actually sent the text and i sent it to the right person.
stage 2) excuses: maybe she's in class. maybe she's taking a nap. maybe her phone died. maybe her phone is on silent. maybe my phone is on silent... stage 3) checking the phone in case you missed the text back. stage 4) staring at the phone willing it to "ring" stage 5) paranoia: she hates me. she's ignoring my text. my phone's broken. if i send another text will i just be bugging her? how soon is too soon to send another text?... stage 6: either giving up hope or sending another text and starting over again with stage 1. |
